Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving started with the Turkey Trot, a 5K walk/run/stroller push through the Galleria in 80 degree weather. It was fun, except Matt was not very happy that I made him wear a long sleeved shirt.

We ate dips for lunch and dinner instead of the traditional turkey and dressing. A block of Velvetta with rotel (Matt never heard of it before) and spinach & artichoke dip. It was just us and this suited us perfectly.

My parents arrived that evening and we went back to the Galleria area to watch the lighting of the trees and the fireworks. This time it was about 50 degrees and raining. The fireworks were beautiful and both Penny and Ellie didn't mind the "booms" and crowds of people.

Sunday we celebrated another non-traditional Thanksgiving feast with steak and lobster. Delicious!
