Two weeks ago Bella broke out into a rash that resembled eczema. No one seemed too worried about it, even though she had never had any skin problems in the past. It continued and got itchy so I took her to the doctor to figure it out. Well, it turns out she had strep. It didn't manifest itself in her throat (like adults), but throughout her body, hence the rash. According to our doctor, this is rather common. Six days of amoxicillin wasn't really helping so we returned to the doctor. She confirmed that she still had strep so she got a shot and 5 days of azithromycin. On day 5 of the "z-pak" she complained horribly about her ear. Back to the doctor to confirm an ear infection! Ugh.
Hopefully the next 10 days of medication clears up everything!
