I saw Dr. Fowler today. She's my psychologist that I haven't seen for awhile. I wanted to keep her up to date about what's been going on in my life should I start to freak out or something like that. If she knows what's going on then she can help me fast!
She was so excited about my news!!! There were 2 main outcomes of our meeting: (1) She thinks my dreams (really nightmares!) of repeated annihilation and losing a wedding band were interesting and very telling about what my unconscious is working on. (2) She echoed what Matt has been saying, "Women have been having babies for thousands of years..." which means that I shouldn't have so much anxiety about delivery and all the other associated things with pregnancy.

Thank You Kimberly!
Kimberly is letting me borrow her maternity clothes and oh what a difference they make!!! I'm far less crabby now that I can breathe more freely. I don't think you realize how uncomfortable you are until you're not! Thank you Kimberly!

Thank You Kelly!
After the wedding in Wimberley, we drove to Bee Cave to meet Kelly. She gave me lots of good pregnancy and baby advice along with lots of baby clothes and toys! I even got a boppy, which is a newborn necessity! Thank you Kelly!
Pick out the Jackass
Who's the jackass in the picture? Is it the animal to the left, center or right? Ha, ha... I just crack myself up! These cute little donkeys were loaded with baskets of water at the wedding reception. I just couldn't resist getting a picture of Matt with them.
To be quite honest, I may be the 'jackass' these days. I'm a bit irritable and crabby for no apparent reason, except that I'm pregnant. Matt has been wonderful, understanding and accommodating in almost all the right ways. He now has a specific job of rubbing my belly with anti-stretch mark cream every morning and evening.
Hollie's Wedding
Here Kimberly, Marc and I are receptioning at Hollie's wedding. It was a lot of fun!! Please visit Kimberly's blog (link to right) to see pictures of the beautiful bride and handsome groom.
Hollie's Wedding was gorgeous and organized down to the smallest detail! We stayed at 'Bandit's Hideaway,' a small cottage along the Blanco River. Matt and I had a great time meeting and seeing Hollie and Kollen's friends and family. The rehearsal, bridal luncheon and wedding were in distinct, beautiful and scenic locations. It was really such a nice get-a-way for us! Hollie and Kollen were a perfect couple. I loved hearing them tell each other their vows!

heartbeat
I went to my second appointment with Dr. Papasakelario today. He's so funny and assuring - I like him a lot! My mom and I heard the heartbeat which was very cool! Only a 1% chance of miscarriage after this point. Next visit (in a month) they'll take a bunch of blood from me - yuck!

Canoeing on the Current River
We canoed! It was a ton of fun and we didn't tip over, despite watching plenty of others capsize. The water is 50 degrees or colder (if near a spring). It wouldn't be so bad if you were completely drunk...but we weren't. We took pictures in the shallow, calm water but there was treacherous, swift, deep water that we navigated through with just a few "ahhhh!" moments.
Fishing at Montauk State Park
John demonstrated his great fishing and netting form! He caught his limit of rainbow trout for the day. Next Matt caught the big fish of the day! I caught 2 trout then decided to 'catch' shots of John and Matt. Remember, we woke up at 5 am to drive 45 minutes to catch minnows under a bridge before dawn then bought our licenses and tags all before 6:30 am. The siren blew at 7 am so we were ready and in our places at the "slab" on the Current River.
waiting...
fishing while Matt is untangling...then got snagged...then the hook and weight (my minnow flew somewhere else) smacked me on my arm!
Telling the Grandparents...or Great-Grandparents to be!
We told my grandparents that I was having a baby. They initially didn't say much, except they asked if I was going to get married. Later they said that nothing surprises them anymore and that they were happy for me. Yeah!

Tropical Storm Party
Kathy, Patrick and Bob came over tonight to help us eat frozen food at our impromptu Tropical Storm Eduoard Party...actually, it wasn't really a party, just dinner with fun friends. We had cheese ravioli, vegetable egg rolls, coleslaw and some frozen veggies. Yum!
Matt and I don't have to work tomorrow! Yeah!

Hollie's Anti-Bachelorette Party
Here's a picture from Saturday night's celebration - it was not a bachelorette party! The big excitement was driving to two tow yards to pick up a friend's SUV which was towed from the restaurant.
